Since 1982. Over 25 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Forensic engineering and animation. We specialize in cases nationwide in the areas of mechanical, electrical, civil and structural engineering; vehicle accident reconstruction; fire and explosion investigations; product liability; computer animations and graphics.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Richard Ziernicki, Ph.D., P.E. acquired Knott Laboratory and has built it to become a world renowned forensic engineerng and animation firm.

Knott Laboratory has been fortunate to have been hired on many high profile cases including the Princess Diana accident reconstruction, the Miller Park Crane collapse, the Kansas City Power and Light power plant explosion, the Dany Heatley Atlanta Thrashers accident reconstruction and many more.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are a full service company. We handle all aspects of a case through completion including animation if needed. We also pride ourselves on a high level of integrity and only hire passionate, professional, qualified, and credible experts.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location in Centennial, Colorado with approximately 30 employees. A majority of our work comes from all over the nation with over 90% outside of Colorado.
